Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Tebow time!
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Our D looks so much better with Bruton playing for Dawkins then Rahime
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
Agree but makes me sad
I really want Moore to suceed
K-Lazz - January 1, 2012

cptmorni - January 1, 2012
Without Janokowski the tRaiuders would be crap...
bfree2bronc - January 1, 2012
Without McGahee we'd be crap too
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
Tebow Tebow Tebow, let’s do this Broncos!
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
For some reason I expect Eminem's Lose Yourself to be playing right now...
maybe a little early…but gotta make it happen
Jaybark7 - January 1, 2012
It would help no doubt
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
OKAY hypothetically speaking who would we rather play in the play offs? Ravens or Steelers? I say ravens they area terrible road team
RichardBonco - January 1, 2012
this is the the first time i have no confidence in tebow
OldBloodnGuts - January 1, 2012 via mobile
dang the Keep is there on the option
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Tebow time
Jbronc - January 1, 2012
all right guys

the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
this is looking like the last chiefs game
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
chiefs D is tired
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Keep the freaking ball one time!!
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Next time, Tebow keeps the ball on that option.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
Has been 3 games since he kept it...
I keep thinking he will….hoping….
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
McCoy's playcalling is still fantastic
CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
Can't Tebow keep it on the option just once please? They are all biting on the first read.
wolf213 - January 1, 2012
+1
SD guy - January 1, 2012
crap a long 5 we need this bad
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
johnson going in
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Hochstein is down now too?
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
russ hurt?
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
And Hochstein down now....F
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
now hochstein oh man
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
Who's our #3 guard?
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
Yeah i dont get people defending McCoy
terrible, obvious play calling
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Can Timmy play G?
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Tebow fake the QB run, throw to TE
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
if tebow would hand on to that he is running for 30 yards
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
QBs aren't allowed to run in the NFL.
Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
Who goes in now?
Pmoreno95 - January 1, 2012
What the F!@#& are we waiting for?????
C’mon McCoy….you’re terrible
Linmoo - January 1, 2012
We just put ourselves in such a hole when you run on 1st and 2nd down and don’t get anything …..I wonder what this call is, pass and KC is probably waiting on it…
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
We're going to lose.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
Karma?
I hate Karma
RichBoysInk - January 1, 2012
My Karma ran over your dogma
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
I was referring to Tim's earlier karma post
RichBoysInk - January 1, 2012
I know. I was just using it as an excuse to make that joke.....
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
And a good joke it was
but I still hate that damn karma thread. Maybe that karma gave us bad karma (or maybe good) I got confused over the whole thing.
GO BRONCOS!
RichBoysInk - January 1, 2012
It's not karma Orton isn't exactly lighting it up either
we’ve just sucked today
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
yup, thats why johnson doesnt get carries
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
McGahee has the vision to cut that back at the hash and picks up 5 yards
Jaybark7 - January 1, 2012
Yep
I was thinking that too!
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
that punt went out of bounds on the 45 and the ref made it the 49. Unreal how shitty this ref is. Unreal .
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
WTF
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
Wow...anemic offense is anemic
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Wow really?
McCoy needs to be gone tomorrow morning….Forget the playoffs we’ll get somebody else (assuming we make it)
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
3 und out - not good
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
McCoy's playcalling angers Dan Reeves
CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
Pathetic play calling
Pmoreno95 - January 1, 2012
just a horrible game plan
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
McCoy has zero confidence in Tebow
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
Embarrassing offense
It’s sad really
KansasBronco - January 1, 2012 via mobile
who will have the most 3 and outs?
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
McCoy
SD guy - January 1, 2012
It on our D
NoCALbronco - January 1, 2012
Fox is betting on the Chargers today
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
I wanna see you guys defend McCoy there
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
you know I won't
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Some people are...i dont understand
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
colquitt is doing his job
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
dang it, here we go again
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Good punt
Jbronc - January 1, 2012
I don't think mccoy actually watches the game
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
brit is like reggie miller or ray allen with this punts... IDK how he does it.. its just money
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
Glad they have Orton
NoCALbronco - January 1, 2012
the D has done fine today... so far.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
At some point you have to do something different b/c at the end of the day if you lose you lose, but you got to try something at some point
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
So agree with this.
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
Maybe we're setting the foundation for the Decker TD catch, a la the first KC game?
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
Wasting opportunities!!!
buckeyebronco - January 1, 2012 via mobile
Need KO to come through for us.
pick 6 time!!!
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
I'll take that
We need something
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
how are the Raiders doing?
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
Chargers driving again......they're up 12
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
31 - 19 SD up
Disturbed70 - January 1, 2012
thanks
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
31-19 Chargers
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
31-19 Chargers
bfree2bronc - January 1, 2012
that was brutal play calling. Gotta try McCoy. No point in making the playoffs if we’ll play this kind of football on offense.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
Perhaps he is holding the special plays they got close to his vest FOR the playoffs.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
it's just run off tackle, run off tackle, hope it works baby cause I got nothin
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
Mccoy has to go
K_dub - January 1, 2012
It won't happen
Linmoo - January 1, 2012
Mccoys contract is up.
No reason to keep him.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
He has history with Fox
I’m scared to death we keep him, but I think the smart money says we do.
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
McCoy calling plays like he wants to draft Nick Foles
CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
We need pressure on Orton...where's VonDoom?
BroncoCUbuffs - January 1, 2012
I would pay ten bucks just to watch us hit him
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
Their strategy is to make the other team lose the game....
That only works occasionally.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Fox, u suck
artistnyc - January 1, 2012
Three straight runs, down by four, great field position.
Maybe thats acceptable if you are playing with the lead, but down four in the fourth quarter? Makes no sense at all.
Andrew Fowler - January 1, 2012
this game have not been exactly Favre vs Rodgers…
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
defense has going to have to do it on there own….
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
I want to win
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
This has not been a shot out between Orton and Tebow.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
this conservative sh*t is what Fox is all about. His rep and no one will say it
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
so mad
broncowrestler29 - January 1, 2012
Thanks Kyle
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
Methinks someone ran the wrong route
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Let’s bring it here Broncos!
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
i liked the option calls, but Tebow needs to keep it one of those times. the Tebow run or pitch was there.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Orton is looking as bad as Tebow
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
turnover please
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
If it wasn’t apparent earlier, it sure is now.
Denver knows Orton better than Orton knows denver.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
WE WILL WIN
DanjPike - January 1, 2012
pick 6 please
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
damnit goody
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
clutch throw
postalmoose1 - January 1, 2012
Atta boy goody.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
that hurt
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
:(
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
how does goodman have a job?
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
He played pretty good earlier - whatever that's worth
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
TD here, game over
artistnyc - January 1, 2012
Goody = fail
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
Maybe he's planning on be a hero at the end again?
RichBoysInk - January 1, 2012
And this maybe Timmy's downfall too.
He has to learn to use all his tools.
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
That wasn't on Goodman, on Orton making a good throw...
bfree2bronc - January 1, 2012
those are throws Tebow needs to make. they've been there.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
I give up!
If McCoy isn’t going to let Tebow throw the ball we might as well draft another quarterback.
sirfiver - January 1, 2012
perhaps that's what some have in mind?
oops not allowed to say that.
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
We saw himn throw last week and look at the results that is why they don't let him throw
postalmoose1 - January 1, 2012
Orton appears to want this game more than Tebow does.
Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
not that is a stupid comment if ever I've read one
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
You can't really measure this kind of thing.
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Probably true though.
Tebow is playing scared.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
100% agree.
RichardBonco - January 1, 2012
I'm surprised his "head" lasted this long
knowing one’s bosses don’t really like you
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
I think you are overreacting.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
Orton is willing to try and make the throws...taking risks. Tebow clearly isn't. How could anyone argue that?
Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
WTF? How could you possibly know?
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
somebody get ORTON come on
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
Hey, a flag on KC!
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
KC offense wants this game more
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Gotta blitz KO up the middle...they should know this.
Linmoo - January 1, 2012
we just did and DJ got picked up by midget and just stopped running....
Disturbed70 - January 1, 2012
You're right Scotty...Goodman is a gonner next season.
BroncoCUbuffs - January 1, 2012
great a Timeout, probably going to need that….
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
did we really just blow a timeout?
Shouldn’t it be an injury timeout if a player is hurt?
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Coaching staff needs to step up and open up the playbook
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
DJ pulled up like a sissy on that blitz. He blew that, not Goodman
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
What a surprise.
DJ is an average LB
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
+1
Overrated too. DJ is a great athlete, but notorious for underachieving.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
saw that 100% he shoulda blew midget boy up like a ballon
Disturbed70 - January 1, 2012
man I hate those timeouts on defense, one of my many clock management issues I have with fox
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
I think someone leaked info on the Chargers game
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
you know the coaches are fully aware of the score...
the players are too.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
it is just gut wrenching to watch the play calling! (and goodman)
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
Goodman gets burned
But… He also gets picks.
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
if tebows confidence looks bad now,
Its gonna be worse
against the ravens D
OldBloodnGuts - January 1, 2012 via mobile
Balt is winning....
We’ll play Pit, right?
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Tebow needs to throw a TD to get his confidence back
RichardBonco - January 1, 2012
the Buffalo game really screwed him up
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
Either...
This team has zero talent or this is the worst coaching staff ever assembled!
Mee - January 1, 2012
The former.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
both and we all know it
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
Actually no.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
probably a combination of the 2
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
Lets not forget, this team was 4-12 last year and started 1-4 before a little magic happened.
There are still serious issues on this roster
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Naive
To think this is all on McCoy.
markymark200471 - January 1, 2012
right on. You have to trust your quarterback and the coaches don't . They sit in meeting with him and practices we don;t so they must see something lacking that they dpon;t wnat him throwing the ball
postalmoose1 - January 1, 2012
this sucks doe
broncowrestler29 - January 1, 2012
strange that Tebow hasn't really attempted a deep pass yet.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Chargers are driving again, already in FG position
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
WHAT???
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Game over
RichardBonco - January 1, 2012
Of course the refs call that
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Flagrant lead with the head and late
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Wow.....WOW
How can they be so flagrant?
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
another sorry ass call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
BS
NoCALbronco - January 1, 2012

Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012

Zogernaut - January 1, 2012

SDcat09 - January 1, 2012

Triz06 - January 1, 2012
Okay, but you'd be wrong
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
That call REALLY sucked
RichBoysInk - January 1, 2012
bleep you ref
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
That penalty flipped Field position. Terrible play
Damon322 - January 1, 2012
are you kidding me?
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
I just hate late hit penalties
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
Probably wouldn't have been a problem if he didn't lead with his helmet.
ArrowSpread - January 1, 2012
this
stupid play
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
His helmet hit the guys arm
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
It doesn't matter. He lead with his head....
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Thats a really bad call
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
Good call
Dumb play
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Nope leading with your head is why it was called
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
I think it was for a late hit
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
i guess Helmet to Arm contact is illegal
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Hate Simms
artistnyc - January 1, 2012
Defense has got to make something happen
Henderson-Sports 06 - January 1, 2012
BS!!!!
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
stupid refs
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Doom sucks in run D
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Spoke a little soon haha
Andrew Fowler - January 1, 2012
Wait, what?
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
most pass rushers are suspect against the run.
the guys that do both….. aren’t in the 4th round (or where ever we got doom) and they go to the HOF
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
OMG
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012

Scottey15 - January 1, 2012

charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012

the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012

CombatChuk - January 1, 2012

Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012

Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Orton ha ha
Jbronc - January 1, 2012
Good stop!!!!
Damon322 - January 1, 2012
Break out the old Elway staples...rolling pocket, bootlegs...how hard can it be to watch a little history and repeat it?
BroncoCUbuffs - January 1, 2012

Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
I still take Tebow over Orton
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012

Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Another classic KO throw
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012

we need a touchdown
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Here come the late game heroics.

artistnyc - January 1, 2012

Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
tebow warming up the throwing arm on sideline

Bronco stuck in Florida - January 1, 2012
Decoy. All he'll do is handoff, or run himself
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
No excuses now McCoy..gotta call some pass plays.
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
Which is stronger?
Tebow 4th quarter improved performance of Orton 4th quarter tendency to crash?
idahobronc - January 1, 2012

vincekc - January 1, 2012
did anyone see the chiefs player hands to the face on the broncos punt rusher?
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Orton screen... :)
orange&blue_aussie - January 1, 2012
That looked familiar.
Orton felt heat and threw it too fast.
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012
Decker just stopped
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Broncos will probably being going into the playoffs because of San Diego not because of anything the ofense is doing on the field today (T-Bonehead included). Next week is going to be ugly. Teams know how to play T-Bonehead and with his bad throws and INTs and Fumbles we are going nowhere other then a lower pick in the draft. Thanks for nothing T-Bonehead.
I wish he would prove me wrong and now is the time to do it, 4 minutes let in the game. Show me please!
NWBroncofan - January 1, 2012
what happend to WR?
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012

CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
SCREEN
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
just remember this... we would not be here with Orton
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Really? How exactly do you know that?
Kyle Orton never played with a lot of these starters this season. They were out with injuries until after the bye, and Kyle Orton never started after the bye. Statement like this are unfounded and just dumb.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
Decker does that all the time...stop and go back on deep routes. Wish I knew what was up there. Miscommunication?
Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
Tebow sucks
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
Another f'ing sack
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
O-line cant block
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012

Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012

charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Tebow look gun shy
Damon322 - January 1, 2012

spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
Now they call consecutiove pass plays. But tebow can't step it up. Throw it away
postalmoose1 - January 1, 2012

This could get ugly pretty quick.

What is else new…
CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
Fake?
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Yeah, would you got for it with Tebow?
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
Or accept the loss? Yes I would.
SD guy - January 1, 2012
Why not
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Should have let Tebow run more. Don't let him pass dont let him rum
artistnyc - January 1, 2012
lol
oncobronco - January 1, 2012
Maybe he should rum more
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
yeah we're punting :(
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
this has to be the worst play called game I have EVER seen
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
I think it's better than last week...
Still crap, but at least we threw AND ran on the same drive occasionally.
Bad playcalling and piss poor execution = loss
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Trade up and grab a real QB in the draft please!
NWBroncofan - January 1, 2012
You wanna list them?
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012
Our receivers are not faster than the DB's
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
Better hope SD wins now!
asinsoin - January 1, 2012
John Fox is a joke of a coach. A joke.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
So conservative
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Gotta agree
This has been a pathetic gameplan for 3 weeks now.
Linmoo - January 1, 2012
What a joke of a team
K-Lazz - January 1, 2012
OK
we are banking on the Chargers, bad idea
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
I’d be okay if we traded Tebow if that trade included John Fox. Our coach is a clown.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
I've tried hinting at that and no one bit
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
There's a reason why his team had a worse record than us last year...
CombatChuk - January 1, 2012
It's really ridiculously embarrassing
The Steelers are laughing right now.

OrangeRhino - January 1, 2012
This is Tebow's worst game as a pro, this is worst than Buffalo, at least then he was trying to make a play
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
Man if our defense could score they deserve this win they've played well
cptmorni - January 1, 2012
John Fox is a joke of a coach. Go for it there you jackwad.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
The TV guys said if the Raiders lost this game would mean nothing....
Not true…
Tebow is still on probation and he is not doing what he needs to do.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
touchdown Oakland
thanks for nothing

We have next season to find out.

Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
T.Jones sucks
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
he's old
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
I think the Chargers might be doing this just to torment us
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Who wants to root for the Chargers anyway?
If you cant win at home, you don’t deserve the playoffs. I hope Oakland wins now. I am disgusted with this team.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
+1
It would be the most embarrassing playoff team ever
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
Have you met the 1990 SB Broncos?
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
That team played great all year...Super Bowl they did not.
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
I meant just the SuperBowl as far as worst performance
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Yeah, I just thought every comment on this thread needed exceptional levels of hyperbole
In reality we’ll still do nothing in the playoffs and going 8-8 on the magical streak covers serious issues on this team
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
they were saying that about the cardinals in 08
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
Meh. You get it anything can happen.
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Wow.....
I never expected the playoffs at the start of the season, certainly not at 1-4. Why so disappointed? How about some reasonable expectations during a playoff season? How aboutn looking at what we improved?
You know what??? I am disappointed in MHR…again…..same old thing every year. Perhaps I need an offseason also.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Tebow taking that sack knocking us out of FG range is a killer now isn't it?
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
and foxy punting before the half....
We could be u9-7
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
and Fox going for the punt at the end of the first half
spursfan87 - January 1, 2012
not is prater missed the kick.....
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
man can someone on the blue team step up and win this game for us?
Scottey15 - January 1, 2012
Playoffs or not
I want McCoy fired at season’s end
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Same.
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Who so you replace him with?
Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
Norv?
Anybody not named McCoy?
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Norv Turner if possible
the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
Yeah but then we would get to January and collapse....
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Fox loves him
Tim Lynch - January 1, 2012
why did he let him go from carolina then?
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012

asinsoin - January 1, 2012

cptmorni - January 1, 2012
McCoy couldn’t be a high school offensive coordinator.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
Boy better learn ot pass in the offseason
if he wants a job next year..
dagdajones - January 1, 2012
Feeling sick right about now
boanst - January 1, 2012
2 things
1. Tebow passes much better out spread empty set. No RB’s. Challenge the depth of theri DB’s
2. No screens? Tebow is an excellent screen passer. Thats a big reason for his early success imo.
Tebow has struggled today no doubt.
ShyandObese - January 1, 2012
I had no idea John Fox was this bad of a coach. This big of a sissy. We’ll never be a good NFL team with this kind of coach. This guy just ruined himself for me with his game plan in the 2nd half. What a joke.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
He’s not calling the plays. The defense has improved immensely because of Fox and Allen. We have lots of problems on offense, but it starts with play calling.
Andrew Fowler - January 1, 2012
Time to think about trading up and drafting a real QB. Elway is smiling right now and thinking I’ve played Timmy Boy and this is what you have………TOLD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NWBroncofan - January 1, 2012
thanks for being here all year
boanst - January 1, 2012
Right because QB is the only thing keeping us back from being in the Super Bowl
and so it makes total since to trade picks that we could use to fill other holes, in favor of replacing our 8-5 QB
wolf213 - January 1, 2012
But Tim is a winner at 7-3 or so you said earlier...
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
8-5 in his career, 7-3 this season
wolf213 - January 1, 2012
And yet now you are saying it's not just the QB...I'm very confused by your floppage
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
It's a confusing argument
If the QB is 8-5 by himself, surely our only hole is a better QB to go 13-3, ergo draft up
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
Exactly.
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
You didn't answer my question. Who are we going to trade up to draft Mr. GM?
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012
Apparently this mystery QB
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
he didn't think that far ahead
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
No the internet is too slow.
MadDogExtra - January 1, 2012
so...

Zogernaut - January 1, 2012
hOPE HE IS PRAYIONG FOR SOME GOOD PLAYCALLS
DanjPike - January 1, 2012
Keep repeating that mantra if it makes you feel better, but it isn't just the play calling.
The Bronco’s offense is just sucking it big today.

CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
Yeah they've only looked the other way on about 3 facemasking calls
Just let them play
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012
You're right man the game was fixed by the REFS .
I’m sure they didn’t miss any calls against your team.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
I can cite three examples of automatic first down, obvious facemasking calls that were ignored.
You cite some examples of penalties that you saw in the game that weren’t called and get back to me.
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012
LOL
One play was when the Chiefs had McGahee stopped in the backfield and then he broke out for a 5 yard gain, when they showed the replay one of your o-line guys was holding. That’s just one of many i saw during the game that should’ve been called, but I guess that’s just me being biased.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
Cavey
perhaps you should evaluate whether it is really a good idea to be over “live” here when KC and Denver play. Lots of opportunity for emotions to fire up.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
To me this is just like having a friend over that likes the other team.
Stuff is going to be said and no calls will happen to both teams, if people would only step back from the Rivalry B.S and look at things from both side of the ball. I know MHR can be that way, and like I said a long time ago, I want to change that about sports blogs. I’ve got the balls to come here and listen to people talk shit about my team while still trying to not lose control. All I want in return is a unbiased view, that’s it. I will succeed, because that’s how I roll.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012

KansasBronco - January 1, 2012 via mobile
We need a QB
Way to end a game. Dammit.
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
maybe we could use a WR
look at what happened to Ort when bowe went out… maybe should look at the coaching stratigy…. wait till the end and cut our qb loose….not going to work when you don’t have wr’s that cant get open. why not use the te’s, crossing passes….we could go on and on…but I lay just as much blame on the O coach play calling….
pwsbronco - January 1, 2012
I really don't know what to make of how this team played
these last few games. But, Tebow does not seem to see the open short routes, or to make the quick drop off pass. If he could make those quick decisions we would have a much better game.
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
good call Sean
If he checks down more often, they would have to defend that late in the game. He didn’t, so they only had to defend the WR man to man
boanst - January 1, 2012
I think this is fair Sean
I am hoping an offseason helps.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Tebow deserves an offseason...
I’ve been his biggest fan but I’m shaken right now. Give him a shot with the #1s this offseason and see what he does. The ceiling is so incredibly high we have to do that…..but wow does he look bad right now.
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
Is he going to learn when to throw the ball away?
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
agreed Kgrone
very disheartening in his biggest game as a pro and he played scared. Part of it is how he’s asked to be conservative—-the coaches are in his head. But you know what, he laid a big fat egg today and I hope IF we are lucky enough to make the playoffs that he gets his swagger back.

broncowrestler29 - January 1, 2012
yeah like why didn't we give tebow all the reps this preseason and let him start.
why did we waste the first 5 games and preseason
pwsbronco - January 1, 2012
Did that affect his ability to play today?
I don’t want to be in some hate rally at all but Tebow did not look like a winner today. He did not step up today. Today is when we needed him to do just that. So we could take this division. Today is when I wanted to see Tebow lead this team to a win!
Sean in Pa. - January 1, 2012
KC had one good drive in the first half running the ball. Both teams were awful
Andrew Fowler - January 1, 2012

Tebow did enough as a young QB to get a chance over the offseason.

Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012

Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012

idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Big eye opener for me today. Tebow was pathetic in a must win game and Fox is a sissy with no heart to be a HC.
We may make the playoffs, but seeing Fox and Tebow today makes me very sad about that game because both those two are water and oil.
I’m so disgusted in Fox.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
IF we get in
next week will be a bloodbath either way. Pitt or Baltimore? Yeah, it doesn’t matter.
dpurvis - January 1, 2012
If he would have gone for the FG in the 2nd and Tebow thrown the ball away in the 3rd, that’s 6 points right there. Sad, sad coaching.
Linmoo - January 1, 2012
And the Fumble....
It was a bad game for sure, Defense stepped up though. Hopefully we make the changes we need to make before next week.
wolf213 - January 1, 2012
yes....
Some serious problems today….
I’ve been in Tebow’s camp but he has regressed as the games gained more meaning…
Its one thing to catch the league off guard, but when playoffs start to be on the line and teams can get film on you, you still have to show something and Tebow has not.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
What’s surprising is he’s regressed as the offensive play calling has gotten more routine.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
The two timeouts on the Chiefs second to last drive were unnecessary and poor coaching
To then punt on 4th and 7 with 2 and a half minutes left is criminal. The very best you can hope for (what we got) is the ball in our own redzone with a minute left.
That’s just terrible coaching
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
I hated the punt with 2:37 to go.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
YES!
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012

All we had to do is score more than 7 points. Fox needs to eat a shit sandwich for the way he prepared our team not to lose the game—-they were’nt playing to win, and Tebow deserves to pull a chair right next to him and eat some too, the gamer was off horribly today.
Bronco Mike - January 1, 2012
He won't. Fox will have his chin up in defense.
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012

DBroncs1414 - January 1, 2012 via mobile
BUT KC has a really good defense. did you see them against GB. They are very good.
Triz06 - January 1, 2012
Silver lining....
Please oh please KC….Look how great KO is!!!! Sign him long term!!! He’s your answer!!!!
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
You know how so many people blame Tim Tebow's lack of success with the Broncos on his lack of reps with the starters?
Could be the same with Kyle Orton and the Chiefs. Be careful what you wish for. Especially if Josh McDaniels signs with the Chiefs as their OC.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
KO didn't win with McD either....
I’ll take my chances….
If KC commits to KO I’ll dance a jig….
What have you seen from KO that would make you think reps with starters is the issue? He has the same issues he had for 2 years with us. Bad on 3rd down and bad as he gets closer to the endzone.
Kgrone - January 1, 2012
GEE.. Orton and McD in KC?
and they say there is no god.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
For the Tebow hateres...did Von Miller lose the game? he should have made the tackle on the lone TD run of the game
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
even if he made the tackle
the defense bailed our offense all game long, the other teams scores.. if your quarterback can’t get you a single point when your running back is playing a great game, well you don’t deserve to win. Not the Defenses fault.
CloudBurst - January 1, 2012
hmmm...
Defense gives up 7 points all day. Sure a shut out would have won it. 6/22/0/1 with a fumble in the red zone is pretty bad.
captain80 - January 1, 2012
You're right
How can any QB expect to win when the defense gives up 7 points
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012

just sayin. Tebow got no help from WRs. a QB needs help from WRs when having a bad day

that missed facemask deep in KC territory may have been the difference between 3 and 7 points.

SDcat09 - January 1, 2012

pwsbronco - January 1, 2012
we lost...
…because we had a quarterback who couldn’t put the ball within 5 yards of a receiver AND we have a coaching staff who calls the same crap hoping for different results.

Raiders don't seem to be playing with that much urgency.

Town of them against the QB….where they are cslling even love taps to the helmet all season lng????
Disturbed70 - January 1, 2012
You know what. I don't want to get in the playoffs this way.
This team isn’t going anywhere and a blind ref can see it. We really need a solid offseason of FA signings, drafting, and player development (we have a lot of young guys who need work that didn’t get it this past offseason) as well as a new OC and staff.
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012

charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Tebow...
is less than worthless as a QB. He can’t.wont throw the ball an dhas no accuracy when he does. The D gave them a chance, but TEBOW simply does not measure up to the task., Denver needs to draft and sdevelop a QB.
Gulbrand - January 1, 2012
ok
seventy - January 1, 2012
The playcalling needs to benefit his growth as a pocket passer, but it doesn’t.
Long outs and seams in lieu of slants and screens to get into a rhythm, only hurt is ability to grow as a passer. He’s a better passer out of the pocket (mostly), but if they want him to develop, they have to give him some easy dinks and dunks to get things rolling.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
I actually agree with this
I’m tired of every pass play being a three step drop, hopeless look downfield, scramble every which way before throwing a lame duck offbalance

My big thing was all the analysts were expecting Tebow to be a Drew Brees.
But I expect him to match Dalton and Newton and he is clearly not doing that when it matters most.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
But that is only because the
it’s all the coaching and playcalling..
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
It’s a combo of the two.
Tebow Pros:
Legs
Ability to innovate when plays break down
Durability
Tebow Cons:
Holds the ball too long
Doesn’t throw a pretty ball … underthrows a lot of passes.
Still needs development in reading defenses.

Tebow has regressed badly.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
Tebow had a terrible game, but it's the entire offense that is bad, from coach to OL (injuries not helping) to WRs who can't get open and can't catch.
Lots of changes need to be made. Tebow has to get better, but he has a lot of upside and would no doubt be more successful with a top WR/TE.

NFL is still better than the BC$ even if you are 8-8!

Entire O, My arse.
McGahee ran his legs off, and the Oline did the best they cpuldw ith all the injuries.
Gulbrand - January 1, 2012
I agree. This lose was entirely on Tebow and Fox. Those are the only two duds. And Royal, because he doesn’t play hard on offense.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
I would say it’s on McCoy, Tebow, and the WR’s. Fox’s defense held KC to seven points, that should almost always win a game.
You can’t expect a passing game to get in a rhythm when you only open up the offense with five minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

In the end, I don’t care so much if we won or lost.
But Tebow had serious problems today. I have no love for McCoy either, but Tebow was at his worst today.
Not a single good throw.
As the games have increased in expectation, Tebow’s play has worsened.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
I generally agree except for the dropped pass by Willis, that is not acceptable for an NFL wideout.
Andrew Fowler - January 1, 2012
except there was a KC hand between his hand
boanst - January 1, 2012
Exactly
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Please, watch the replays one more time.
Willis had moved nicely to put his body between the ball and the defender, the hand from the defender really did not push the ball out or hit it. Willis had his hands slightly crossed, especially the right hand, so was not positioned to catch it, and then closed them slightly early. Willis then goes to the ground already putting his hands on his helmet as a gesture of frustration with himself. I would not cut the kid for it, but I believe even Willis would say it was on himself.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Throws to Decker and Willis were good throws.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
Yes Tebow had a bad game
the entire offense had a bad game, outside of McGahee. Wr’s had no seperation, OL didnt give Tebow much time, Tebow wasnt good seemed hesitant after last week, coaching was terrible
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Disagree on the OL pass blocking...
Tebow held on to the ball for a LONG time on several plays.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Thanks for making my point.
He can’t throw the damm ball, That makes him worthless
Gulbrand - January 1, 2012
Tell me where the open WR was?
Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Issues there also...
But you have to throw it….
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
Most worthless thing I ever see
is the way some people say nothing until they see something that correlates with a decision that had been made made way too early and stated with way too much authority. Even now, it is too early for such statements, either direction. Why do I continue to read this crap? I guess it is my fault for doing so.

there is no QB in the draft that we should gamble with outside of Luck and RG3.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Their are a lot of really good QB's in this years draft.
ShyandObese - January 1, 2012
but they are just as much a gamble as staying with Tebow.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Tebow now has what, 12, 13 starts...
Less of a gamble with him, you start to see what you are going to get.
charlesnelsonreilly - January 1, 2012
go with Tannehill or Jones? i'd rather give Tebow a shot after a full offseason.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Who said Tebow doesnt get another shot?
Just saying drafting a QB would be wise since their are so many good ones. Tebow will almost certainly start next season.
ShyandObese - January 1, 2012
No doubt he gets a shot,
but he is also going to face competition.

bfree2bronc - January 1, 2012
I've followed the Broncos from the UK every year since 2001 (Griese's last year)
In those 11 seasons we have won the division twice in that time. If you ranked the Broncos teams by season, I have a hard time saying the 2011 AFC West Champions Broncos are in the top 5 of any of those teams.
Reversed into the playoffs in a terrible division
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
I am tebowing right now
Please Lord, deliver unto us a QB who can throw and make decisions in the pocket.
I kept saying, remember that 6-0 streak a couple of years ago? People get drunk on the kool aid too soon, meanwhile defenses around the league are figuring out the smoke and mirrors.
So, maybe we make the playoffs. Maybe we host PITT, maybe BAL. And maybe we lose 36-3, with 39 passing yards.
What an “exciting loss”.

CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
Your boy Bowe did quit on your guys. Never thought Orton could win that game and hurt his UFA stock at the same time.
I also called Thomas Jones quiting and he was horrible. Your D did play hard though.
McGeorge - January 1, 2012
Bowe got hurt and was ballin' before that.
T.Jones didn’t quit he never got started because he just plain sucks period, so wrong again. If I was to base my opinion towards your team using that type of mentality, half the team quit, which I know is a bunch of B.S.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
Lewis has been progressing he could be real good. Arenas is excellent loved him in college hope he is okay.
Orton sucks so bad as does all your RB’s. McCluster could be deadly in Belicheks team but not yours.
ShyandObese - January 1, 2012
Tebow looked scared to make a mistake today
I’m not saying our receivers were great but they were able to get some separation today. Tebow just looked scared to make any tough throws and you gotta be able to make those throws in the NFL.
AlbertaBronc - January 1, 2012
Tebow looked like someone told him God was dead.
That or he finally found a woman who is already messing with his head.
MrFNSunshine - January 1, 2012

AlbertaBronc - January 1, 2012

Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
how young is newton???
Freewheeler2 - January 1, 2012
You think they'll trade Newton for Tebow? Most QBs don't play their best in their first season, particularly with no offseason.

Newton lost 45-17 today.

BigRockTheFirst - January 1, 2012 via mobile
We got to the playoffs with Tebow. Wouldn't be here with Orton as our QB. #FACT
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
this is true...
seventy - January 1, 2012
If the defense played the same way they did during the streak, the broncos would probably have home field advantage
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
with orton that is
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
Yes, because Orton looked so good in tonights game
I’m not saying that Tebow played well the last two games because he didn’t. But Orton has shown time and time again that when the game is on the line in the fourth quarter he wilts under the pressure. There’s no way we’re in the playoffs with Orton as our QB.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
Kinda like Tebow has been doing in the fourth?
If the defense played as well with Orton, they would have a large enough lead to the point where he wouldn’t have a chance to blow it in the fourth
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
But what has Orton done in the last three games for the Chiefs?
They’ve scored 19, 13 and 7 points. Orton is good for field goals and nothing else. Without the Chiefs defense stepping up big time they would have lost all three games.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
Just like with tebow right?
Isn’t that the entire point? Tebow hasn’t done shit during the streak but tried his best to play as bad as possible at QB.
All the while Orton is playing for an entirely new team. Who looked more comfortable leading the Broncos, Orton last year or Tebow this year?
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
Tebow is a second year player without a full preseason due to the lockout
Kyle Orton is an experienced veteran quarterback. Of course he looks more comfortable than Tebow.
But despite how bad Tebow has looked at times he has shown tremendous leadership and will to win. In a close game with Tebow at the healm I never believed that we were out of the game when I always felt that way with Orton at QB. Tebow provides an X factor that Orton never had. Maybe time will show that Tebow isn’t the answer. Despite this I’d sooner try Tebow than Orton because Orton has proved to me that he will never be the answer.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
That doesn’t mean anything. Cam, Ponder, Dalton are rookies and yet look better than Tebow. All of them have shown leadership and yet they have shown the ability to look like legitimate QB’s
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
and yet some of the other younger QB's that aren't rookies regressed this year
Bradford, McCoy, Sanchez, Freeman. Flacco and Ryan started slowly as well. Ponder has not looked good this year, except against us.
boanst - January 1, 2012
Ponder?
Then why are people asking questions about whether Webb should be the starting QB in Minnesota? Not to mention that he was more of a pocket passer to start with. Dalton has looked good but then he’s another pocket passer. The only comparison that is fair is Cam Newton and his arm is far better than Tebows and his throwing action needed far less work. You also have to remember that Tebow was always going to be a work in progress due to his throwing motion and run first style at college.
Anyway I’m not comparing Tebow to those QBs. I’m comparing him to Orton who is still merely average after several years in the league. We already know his ceiling, not very high. Tebow could be capable of much more than that. Only time will tell. I at least think that we ought to find out what he is capable of.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
Orton had his chance in Denver....
BLEW IT BAD.
Wish him luck in the future, but would not change my mind about how he did here….and I was one that was supporting him.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
I hope Big Ben’s ankle prevents him from having a good game because I don’t think that the offense has it in them. The Steelers will too crowd the line and make T-Bonehead win the game with his arm-UGLY.

Safeties seemed to step up today, maybe Von Miller can somehow get that cast thinner for the playoffs.
knoepke84 - January 1, 2012 via mobile
KO was not responsible for the loss today....
Our D gave up one big run for a TD and that was it……
Fox played like a neutered pup and punted before half, and then Tebow took a sack to push us out of FG range in the 2nd half. 6 potential points right there.
KO did what he did for us. A little bit of nothing.

the new Bradfather - January 1, 2012
maybe let Tebow be Tebow?
Over the past few weeks it’s obvious he is trying to become more of a passing QB and stay in the pocket longer…….with bad results.
Hopefully the coaching staff abandons that for this year (revisit next season) and tells Tebow “If you feel just even a tiny bit antsy, just RUN it, RUN Forrest Run! We’ll work on passing from the pocket next year.”
james b - January 1, 2012
probably true
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
What about his fumble when he did run>
dagdajones - January 1, 2012
Exactly. The more he tries to be a "typical" passer the less confidence he appears to have.
Brian Burridge - January 1, 2012
Coaches lost this game for us. They coached to
not lose instead of coaching to win. Never has there been a better example of that phrase than in this game. For the first time this year I saw TT suffering from lack of confidence and I place that squarely on Fox and McCoy’s shoulder. Gotta turn him loose earlier and with a O plan that allows him to aggressively use his skills. I’ve totally lost any confidence in Fox to be the guy to win a SB at any time with us after watching how he coached and game planned. Glad we’re in the playoffs, but we head in with a QB whose confidence is shot… thank you Fox.
rubincarterrocks - January 1, 2012

We drafted Tebow which created about 10000000 times the expectations then before we drafted him.

djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012

I really wished we would’ve tried to throw short more but considering how poor our passing game was today can you really blame them for calling nothing but running plays today.
AlbertaBronc - January 1, 2012
Outlet passes, quick screens, slants

Scotty Payne - January 1, 2012
Exactly, McCoy has no imagination. Where are our TEs? Why don't we see them involved more? You want to open up the downfield
stuff? hit some TEs on some short stuff and bring those safeties up. Game planning and game time adjustments are killing us all year.
rubincarterrocks - January 1, 2012
4-12 to 8-8 and the playoffs
Give him an offseason and a real QB coach as well as an OC who actually belongs in the NFL. Then see where he is after OTAs and TC. Can’t ignore the upside despite the last 3 weeks.

In all my years of being a Bronco fan I have never seen a more lackluster, phone it in effort since…the last time we did this a couple of years ago. What is it with this team? They use their worst effort, from coaching to players on done, on the most important day. I read Woody’s article this morning harkening back to the 77 team and how on this day 34 years ago they put together an incredible performance. I remember that game and he is right and this team is no where near there. They make the playoffs but who cares. If Mcoy doesn’t change how he game plans next week will be a debacle.

good point - and generally the D was pretty good. Good ST's too.
We have a fighting chance next week.
British Bronco - January 1, 2012
No we don;t not without an offense that can produce a singel td per game.
HarvJNep2n - January 1, 2012
The D and McGahee did good. Other then that no
NWBroncofan - January 1, 2012
I Don't Think The Broncos Should Use A Draft Pick On A QB
The Broncos have many other holes to fill before using a pick on a QB. I say continue to build up the defense through the draft and keep Tebow because I think he deserves a shot to improve during a full offseason. However, I think it would be wise to bring in a veteran or even keep Brady Quinn in case he doesn’t improve from the pocket.
Oozlefinch6 - January 1, 2012
Keeping Brady Quinn is never the answer
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
+ 1 we have bigger priorities
CB, S, DT, MLB, G/C, WR for starters
British Bronco - January 1, 2012
Jake the snake Plummer probably has a couple of plays left in him.:)
james b - January 1, 2012
Make it so. LOVED Plummer
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
Whatcha think, 20 dogs at home next week against Pittsburgh
can’t wait to see the opening line
rossiya - January 1, 2012
20 pt underdogs I mean
rossiya - January 1, 2012
At least Tebow can improve and is humble and has work ethic to be better.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
But he needs to improve faster........
We need him to be able to throw the ball more efficiently ……
And I think an offseason to develop and train will do really good for him, but if he doesn’t show any improvement then will be a see ya…….
Broncos_BZ - January 1, 2012
Sorry to say,
being humble and having work ethic means nothing without the skill to go along with it. Besides, I’m not so sure Tim Tebow is as humble as he makes himself out to be. But if he is, maybe that’s a problem. NFL football isn’t a humble sport.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
Our Receivers were covered the entire game
Do you guys see a way to fix this??
Broncos Fan since 66 - January 1, 2012
yea, use more than 1 receiver or 2 in the patterns
rossiya - January 1, 2012
this^^^^^
may have to use some movement (such as play action from under center as he rolls out to his left) to buy some time, but we need more receivers breaking open due to the design of the play. Right now, that is not happening.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Short slants, screens, outlet passes, TE drag routes — plays in the 4-8 yard range.
emd2k3 - January 1, 2012
Hmmm
Name me 1 other QB in the last 10 years who went 6-22 60 yards.
Receivers covered. C’mon. Crap. All other QB’s find a way. 1 inch o separation is open in NFL. This isn’t the SEC

leifolson - January 1, 2012 via iPhone app
name one with as inexperienced a crop of receivers in an offense called like this.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Tebow / Orton
We’ce said for weeks it’s all about the wins. Well. Orton won. Tebow didn’t. Can’t change course now. Right?
KansasBronco - January 1, 2012 via mobile
Orton scored 7 points early and relied on his defense to finish the job.
Tebow has managed to pull improbable victory after improbable victory out of the fire. Whilst he’sstill a work in progress, he’s made great strides this season. With better receivers and a full offseason I expect to see even better next season. He at least has earned the opportunity.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
because the defense kept it close right?
Did Tebow cause the fumble in chicago?
The Licensed Pessimist - January 1, 2012
Tebow enticed Marion Barber out of bounds, I saw this
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
he showed some leg.
leifolson - January 1, 2012 via iPhone app
Of course it's because the defense kept it close.
But it still takes the QB to lead that game tying/winning drive. When Orton had those opportunities he failed again and again. Tebow has that will to win that Orton lacks. Maybe in the long run Tebow wont be the answer. But I’m fully convinced that Orton will never be anything but a mediocre quarterback who is unable to come through when it matters.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
This is reasonable
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
He might have the will to win
but if he keeps taking unnecessary sacks, throwing up ducks and not making throws when he should, that will won’t matter one little bit.
SDcat09 - January 1, 2012
I do agree with that.
I just think that he did enough this season to get a chance to start next season. If at the end of next season he still looks the same then I would agree that we need to look elsewhere. It’s just that players with that will to win and ability to perform in the clutch don’t come along all that often. I’d hate for us to give up on him before he’s had enough time to fully develop as a player.
Matthew Oakley - January 1, 2012
I'll use the same arguments the critics used on Tebow...
Orton didn’t win, the Chiefs defense won.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
That's right.
The problem is, when Tim Tebow wins that way, mostly because of the defense, it’s still all about “Tebow just wins”. The standards are somehow different when it comes to Tim Tebow.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
that's BS. Everyone knew the D won most games; tebow just happened to be the QB.
Boiler etc - January 1, 2012
More in the media than the fans.
You really fall for that?
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
No it isn't.
It’s right here on MHR. And if anyone dared to suggest that the Broncos won a game despite Tim Tebow, or that Denver would have lost a game if not for some freakish screw up by an opponent, well, they’re just haters. I know, because I’ve been called a hater (or an Orton fan boy) many times.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
holding the ball toooooooooo long??
How long can tebow run from defense and not throw the ball over and over again?
Broncos Fan since 66 - January 1, 2012
there were many times where you could count to 5 and he had not thrown, or moved
boanst - January 1, 2012
Tebow has regressed
Very unsure in the pocket; missed several reads; didn’t throw to receivers he should have and locked on to receivers and threw to them when he should not have. Well below 50% passing; he’s not making many positive yards running; he’s getting sacked AND he’s fumbling when tackled. Defenses don’t take him seriously as a threat to pass.
The running game was AMAZING behind McGahee today. Props to Willis and the O-line, at least when they ran the ball. Play calling was WAY too conservative, however. Surreal. When you don’t let Tebow throw it sends the wrong message to him. He loses confidence and starts making bad decisions. They should have called some roll-outs when KC contained him in the pocket all those times. They needed to pass on first down in key situations.
I know I’ll be attacked again for stating the obvious, but EFX need to spend a high draft pick (1st or 2nd) on a real NFL QB, prospect. Maybe not trade up for Luck or Griffin, but they need somebody who can throw the effing ball.
Schwerepunkt - January 1, 2012
i give Tebow a full offseason as starter before taking that gamble.
he’s shown in other games that he can pass. just needs good coaching.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
and by good coaching...
i don’t mean it as a knock against mccoy or fox, just needs offseason of coaches working with him
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
I agree
want another season of Tebow using the draft to raise the quality of the rest of the roster, we still have Weber right? so we just need to pick up a veteran FA who has some wheels to fit in behind Tebow if he goes down.
james b - January 1, 2012
Maybe in the 2nd, but there won’t be one suitable to take when we draft in the 1st.
boanst - January 1, 2012
Fox spouting nonsense on espn
rossiya - January 1, 2012

Get real. We all have to spin company line in public.

Can Elway activate himself for the playoffs?
this thought made me smile
james b - January 1, 2012
Missing TE's
Can someone explain to me why we don’t use our TE’s?
Broncos_BZ - January 1, 2012
Wrong
He threw to Fells once :-)
KansasBronco - January 1, 2012 via mobile
I have a friend who's Panthers fan
His biggest gripe against Fox was always that he doesn’t see the TE as a receiver position
djmbluemoon - January 1, 2012
Really think we could use them on short passes, since we aren't using that many WRs
Broncos_BZ - January 1, 2012
They were blocking, because the Chiefs were stacking the box.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
its been a problem all year. And a TE can still release from a block. Wouldn't matter as Tebow wouldn't throw there anyway
boanst - January 1, 2012
One has to wonder if playing in a spread offense has something to do with that.
That’s why I like guys who play in a pro-style offense in college, they seem to be able to spread the ball around more.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
Hard to say what exactly is going on
He had Aaron Hernandez as a TE at Florida. I didn’t watch so I don’t know often he did go to him. All I know is he doesn’t seem to see the underneath guys often, and there doesn’t seem to be too many routes like that
boanst - January 1, 2012
That's my point, Chiefs did a nice play to a TE that blocked and then got open to Orton on a 3rd and 1 and it worked fine
Not saying that this type of play will win us games, but at least make the defenses start to thinking and worrying about something different than stack the box and sit there waiting for us
Broncos_BZ - January 1, 2012
2 WOs in passing routes and everybody else blocking is not helping Tebow.
We need to get the TEs involved more. Our WOs are young and not have mastered the art of getting separation against NFL corners so we must give Tebow more targets to choose from. Tebow can scramble but McCoy stll feels the need to keep everybody in on pass pro.
OrangeRhino - January 1, 2012
www.bringbackDanReeves.com
just kidding
james b - January 1, 2012
I would rather have McD as our OC over McCoy right now
Elway needs to hire someone for offense that has full autonomy on how to run it. McCoy’s playcalling is awful and Fox’s philosophy only works if everything goes the team’s way during the game.
boanst - January 1, 2012
Would love to see Norv Turner on the coaching staff
keb - January 1, 2012
+1
Broncos_BZ - January 1, 2012
uh huh
You nailed it. Fox’s style is ultra-conservative. Not kicking the FG with 30 seconds left. Hell their kicker already missed one and your D is your strength and points are at a premium with the shackles you put on the offense! THat pissed me off. He plays not to lose which translates into scared. And it has taken a toll on the offense.
And I agree about McD. Terrible with personnel but he turned Orton into a solid QB, Lloyd into a big time deep threat. I suspect that he had great plans for Tebow…but we’ll never know. Unless we trade Tebow to the Rams hahahhaa. Just kidding…I love ya Timmie!!!!!!
Safety Blitz - January 1, 2012
I have a hard time deciding what to do there
56 yard FG is makeable for Prater for sure, but not automatic, and only about 25 yards out of FG range going the other way, with Bowe still in the game, which would make it a 2 possession game in a game that we are not passing well at all. If the game were 6-0, I would go for it for sure, because then another FG would tie it. But because it was 7-0, we would still need to score a TD or 2 more Fg’s even if we made it. I didn’t like either option to be honest. I thought the real mistake Fox made was to call the timeout on 3rd down. Hate to be a pessimist, but we were not getting a TD there, and we left too much time on the clock.
boanst - January 1, 2012
I'd love to see Josh McDaniels as offensive coordinator.
Without the overhead of head coach or general manager, I think he will be an excellent offensive coordinator, just as he was in New England. And bring his brother back as quarterbacks coach. Unfortunately, that excellence will likely be in Kansas City next year.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
Cant wait to see the next espn first take
The next argument between Stephen A Smith and Skip Bayless should be highly entertaining
james b - January 1, 2012
It'll be the same ol' song and dance
Smith will say Tebow is terrible. Bayless will agree that Tebow was terrible in this game, but will talk about Tebow turning the team around from a 1-4 doomed season and helped team make it to playoffs.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
naw, Skip will blame the coaches and WR's
boanst - January 1, 2012
that too.
but he’s been doing that for a while also. But skip does have a point regarding our WRs.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012

idahobronc - January 1, 2012
Denver Broncos 1983
Barely scraped into the playoffs at 9-7. And Elway at least had receivers who would catch the ball. I still believe the Broncos will win in the playoffs. I don’t know how far they will go but I believe they will win at least 2.
Even if I am proved wrong, I believe Tebow is good for your team because the things that he is lacking are things that can be TAUGHT. I think next year, with a full offseason being the number one QB, you will see an amazing improvement.
As it stands, all of you who are complaining about Tebow now, how many of you saw the Broncos in the playoffs at all before he started?
Caly - January 1, 2012
These guys are die hard fans here dude.
At least 75% or more have seen the Bronco in the play-offs and win the S.B. You’re not talking to a bunch of noob band wagoners, these guys know football.
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
What I meant by my statement
was that BEFORE Tebow took over as starter, NO ONE expected the Broncos to be in the playoffs at all. At best most figured “here’s your chance Tebow, sink or swim”.
All I personally wanted was for him to have a chance. He got it and, as a result, the TEAM played well enough, to win enough games, to make it into the playoffs. I think they’ll win at least one more. But I’m a diehard Tebow fan so no matter how bad it looks, I’m going to keep believing in his leadership abilities.
Good luck in the playoffs.
btw, I’m a dudette :-)
Caly - January 1, 2012
Oh, and if you all don't want him
I for one would be delighted to see him in New England throwing to Aaron Hernandez again. Grooming him to take over for Tommy B. Hmmmm I wonder if we could get Percy Harvin in on that too…. (just dreaming. yes I too hang out in LaLa Land sometimes)
Caly - January 1, 2012
I would take Hoyer straight up in a trade for Tebow
boanst - January 1, 2012
because Hoyer looks like the real deal to me, not because of disillusionment for Tebow
boanst - January 1, 2012
Sorry about that.
I guess that’s what happens when you assume:P
CPT.Caveman - January 1, 2012
I've seen the Broncos in every playoff game, conference championship game, and superbowl they've ever been in.
This year’s team isn’t like any of them. But I’m still happy the Broncos made the playoffs, even “backing” into them, because you just never know what can happen from this point on. It’s a whole new ballgame.
CompUser - January 1, 2012
remember Tebow had a decent games vs. Patriots and Vikings
I know it’s a terrible defenses, but the kid CAN throw. sometimes.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Do our Broncos deserve the playoffs?
Well let’s see. We finished better than all other AFC teams, so we’re in. Are we better or lucky?
Who cares? We are in and I for one am a fan first and am damn happy about it!!
OldStrike - January 1, 2012
Good news is...
Pittsburg beat Cleveland 13-9. We can do this. We can beat the Steelers.
Christopher Shaw - January 1, 2012
Yeah, that's the right attitude!
OldStrike - January 1, 2012
Steelers are not what they were in the recent past.
idahobronc - January 1, 2012
I cant help but shake my head at all the Tebow fenceriders here
Many of the same folks who were crowing about how awesome TT was during the win streak and now throwing him under the bus…How pathetic…The Broncos are in the playoffs; the season continues….If you think the team has no chance next week because Tim is the QB, don’t watch and quit whining….
keb - January 1, 2012
Who?
Been monitoring all the comments for some time. Don’t see anyone blaming Tebow for this loss. But I appreciate you defending the kid.
Hard to feel a sense of satisfaction after that game. I hope you enjoyed it.
Safety Blitz - January 1, 2012
I for one will celebrate being AFCW champs
If folks would’ve asked me that preseason, I’d be exctatic… and I am.
That said, Pitt is gonna maul us unless the OFF gets a whole lot less offensive… that was pathetic.
TT also just ensured that we’ll be drafting a QB or getting a solid FA to compete with him…. his leash will be short next year, but he’s earned an offseason to improve and 1st shot at failing, just like KO had this year.
cjfarls - January 1, 2012
Thanks Phyllis Rivers!
You’re the best.
Ok enuff blogging. Just putting any thought into that sad excuse of a game we just played is not worth it.
