Cool injury report Belichick..
Teboner - January 11, 2012
He loves this...
Fabio Broncos - January 11, 2012
He forgot to put the waterboy on that list...hes got a hang-nail
alkatraz76 - January 11, 2012
Yep...it basically means everyone is healthy with hangnails.
Broncotodd - January 12, 2012
Typical Belichick injury report
it is so farcical
the new Bradfather - January 11, 2012
any possibility of miller
at least getting a smaller cast for this game? like, something smaller than a backpack stuffed with balsa wood and socks? i guess that’s rhetorical.
oxmouth - January 11, 2012
lol
Automatik41 - January 11, 2012
Or a pillowcase stuffed with styrofoam peanuts dipped in epoxy resin?
NYCBronx - January 12, 2012
Patriots are very good at deception and have ability to bend the rules. I believe its to lure attention to other things hince (josh mcdaniels). I feel it dose nothing to favor them unless we allow it. Go Broncos!!
CenCalBronco - January 11, 2012 via mobile
that's the spirit soldier!
the new Bradfather - January 11, 2012
Patriots Suck!
Lost Winter - January 11, 2012
Clearly the Patriots should just forfeit now
rather than risk having to put their entire roster on the injury report.
Broncologist - January 11, 2012
There are players NOT on the injury report?
Guess I just assumed it was the whole team and didn’t take time to count. I’m surprised Coach B didn’t put himself and coaching staff on the report as well…
The entire team WILL be on the injury report after the game though….bruised egos. Out for around 6 months. :-)
DominantDenverDefense - January 11, 2012
Their injury report is actually very simple: no injuries
Only one player DNP, and it was not due to injury. All "limited"s should be considered a go.
si_ice - January 11, 2012
I agree
Especially since they have had 2 weeks to heal and only Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer did not practice and were out that week.
KaptainKirk - January 11, 2012
The last two times the Pats came off of a bye,
they lost both games. Once at home to the Jets in the playoffs last year and once in the regular season at Pittsburgh.
Middlesex - January 11, 2012
really Belichick?
no one slipped on a McDonald’s bag and slashed his arm through an HDTV, and no one tripped over his dog?
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Tom Brady /Shoulder/ Full /
Bill is quite the smart ass …
Oregon Crush - January 11, 2012
You could take out the "smart"
and you’d be a little closer to the truth.
DominantDenverDefense - January 11, 2012
His non-throwing shoulder did actually take a sprain.
Middlesex - January 11, 2012
Don't forget a cheater too. Amazing how they haven't won anything since they got caught.
tiderfootball09 - January 11, 2012
bangs. head. on. keyboard.
Tollyvolley127 - January 12, 2012
belichick should just put the whole team
weazel - January 11, 2012 via iPhone app
What's with Paxton?
azbroncomaniac - January 11, 2012
Typical for BB
The list would be shorter if he just listed the ones that didn’t have a bruise or a bump.
OldStrike - January 11, 2012
Is there any benefit to the way the Patriots do their injury report?
Quite frankly I think this falls in the same catagory as “icing” a kicker. Just play the friggin game! As a fan I can say it would piss me off if the Broncos did this same thing with their injury report. I wonder if Pats Pulpit has a weekly segment called “Ok Guys, this is who is ACTUALLY hurt.”
DominantDenverDefense - January 11, 2012
That's Belichik for you
He’s the guy who’ll make the refs call 12 men on the field if an opposing player on the sidelines has his foot on the grass.
He’s a guy who’s always calling out stupid technicalities in games, like Brainy Smurf. And like Brainy Smurf, is a major annoyance to others.
NYCBronx - January 12, 2012
I hate the bellicheat always puts half of his team on the report
Mike Clark - January 11, 2012
I'm glad
McCheater rejoined the Pats.
Lost Winter - January 11, 2012
BB is so not funny.
That stopped being funny a long time ago. More to the point, what’s the good word on Decker and Dawkins? I also noticed that we resigned Ryan Harris. Can he contribute? We certainly need all hands on deck for this game.
postpunk27 - January 11, 2012
weird how you disappear from everything and pop in for an occasional mid-week injury report. pick your spots though, gc. pick. your. spots.
oxmouth - January 11, 2012
Haha
I hear ya, man. Things have been a bit hectic here in grind_land. I’m sure I’ll be around this weekend, though :)
postpunk27 - January 12, 2012
Do I remember correctly ?
Wasn’t there this incidence with the Broncos quite a few years back, when Denver got a slap on the wrist by the league for not putting a player on the injury report, that was slightly “injured” and as a result Coach Shanahan from that point on filed an injury report just like the one above ? Don’t get me wrong. I do not like BB and I’m not trying to defend him and his tactics. But if he does this, to not give the league a reason for fining him or his team, then at least I could see some logic in it.
ichler - January 12, 2012
It's part that
The other part is that, if i recall correctly, he believes that the only reason for injury reports is so gambling entities can set spreads accordingly. Therefore, he kinda messes with the list every now and again as a small form of protest. Usually it’s something like “Brady – Probable- Shoulder”. At least that’s what it was for like 3 or 4 years. This list is likely mostly real. The important thing to note is that the Patriots are probably the healthiest they’ve been in 6 weeks. Both teams have people returning from injury that weren’t in the first game, i’m not sure who’ll gain the advantage but I’d be willing to bet Brandon Spikes and Patrick Chung will have something to say about that running game.
satsunada - January 12, 2012
So is Willis McG 100% healthy then?
That would be fantastic news.
Mile High ThundaDownUnda - January 12, 2012
all I can say today is GO BRONCOS!
left the store this morning, on my way out I said to the clerk; GO BRONCOS! While leaving work, to my co-workers; GO BRONCOS! Driving by mile high stadium this morning, I rolled down my window and yelled; GO BRONCOS! A dude flipped me off on the I-25, I rolled the window down and yelled; GO BRONCOS!!! Crazy a$$ Denver fans! Bellicheat injury report. Is like reading the minutes from the last congressional meeting. 100% B.S.!!
timmaybronco - January 12, 2012
Belichick is just being honest with the list.
Kyle Love (DT) – Had to go home for personal issues. Didn’t practice. Has to be listed.
Kyle Arrington (CB) Limited – Playing injured as no other suitable CBs are on the depth chart.
Patrick Chung (S) – Week 17 was his first game after suffering with a foot injury for 8 games. Still recovering.
Dan Connolly © – Returning from a groin injury, week 16 represented his first snaps in almost a quarter of the season. Still recovering.
Julian Edelman (WR) - Back injury all season; adjusting to moving backwards and twisted his back as he moves from receiver to cornerback.
Dane Fletcher (LB) – Broke his thumb, being careful with it.
James Ihedigbo (S) – Always gets stingers in his shoulder, you’ll see him down a snap or two.
Matt Light (T) – Injured his ankle in pregame warm-ups in Week 16 and missed the game.
Logan Mankins (G) – Sprained his MCL in Week 16 and missed most of the game and Week 17.
Devin McCourty (CB) – Separated his shoulder mid-season. Still recovering.
Rob Ninkovich (LB) – Injured his hip in Week 17.
Matthew Slater (WR) – Been injured all season, but is the ST captain.
Brandon Spikes (LB) - Like Chung, missed most of the season and Week 17 was his first game back.
Sebastian Vollmer (OT) – Missed the majority of the season with a back injury.
Wes Welker (WR) – Welker tweaked his knee a couple weeks back and it’s been hurting his planting leg.
Tracy White (LB) – Missed Week 17 with a stomach injury.
Tom Brady (QB) – Had to get his shoulder checked out for potential damage.
It’s not like Belichick’s lying. In fact, I feel like the hubbub is around the fact that he’s being so honest. He has injured players and he’s listing them accordingly. If they’re injured, they’re going on the injury report. If they’re limited in practice, he’ll note it. He’s not making it up.
