Go Broncos!
Tim Lynch - January 12, 2012
How cool would it be for the AFC Championship game
to be Denver at Houston!? I firmly believe that is what it will be. By the way, did anyone hear the latest excuse for the Steelers losing to the Broncos? I was listening to Mike and Mike and I think it was Brian Billick (could be wrong) that said the Steelers lost because they didn’t take the Broncos seriously….I was a bit annoyed hearing that but whatever as long as Denver keeps on winning! Go Broncos!!
aj fischer - January 12, 2012
that actually makes the Squealers
look really bad, if you don’t act professional in the NFL you don’t deserve to win
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Its not the Steelers organization nor their fans making up these excuses
its the MSM. The Steelers and their fans have been surprisingly all class
Calikula - January 12, 2012
Agreed!
aj fischer - January 12, 2012
Agreed
and they are the Steelers, I must repent of my sins
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
I’d also recommend reading Barnwell’s preview of the Broncos/Pats game:
http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/7453830/bill-barnwell-breaks-sunday-denver-broncos-new-england-patriots-playoff-matchup
Really reasonable and balanced preview.
scooter17 - January 12, 2012
Thanks scooter!
I would have to say it is the most balanced preview I have seen for this game…That being said I just have a feeling that our defense is really going to show up on Saturday and really get to and frustrate Tom Brady. I hope the outcome is just as enjoyable as the Steelers game!
aj fischer - January 12, 2012
Good recommendation
Grantland is one of the best sports-related websites out there, and their writers are generally fair when assessing teams. On top of that, Bill Simmons (their head honcho) has got to be one of the funniest sports writers out there. Some of his Tebow comments over the pas few months had me in stitches.
GirlWhoLovesFootball - January 12, 2012
Kizla is a hack. Didnt read his column, but the blurb included “no way, no how, is Tim Tebow beating Tom Brady in the NFL Playoffs.” told me all I needed to know. I thought this douche was a writer for the Broncos, not every team that plays against them
Calikula - January 12, 2012
I hate to continue a meme from another blog
But take a lap for mentioning Kizla.
Thnikkaman - January 12, 2012

the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Did champ, mcgahee, or some of the other guys say they couldn't win with tebow?
I’ve been seeing comments about them talking bad about tebow after the last two games they lost..i haven’t seen/heard anything like that myself..does anyone know what people seem to be referring to? I saw a comment from a guy on a espn article that said something to the effect of, they were all trashing him and now they aren’t because of the win…and that they only want to believe in him when they win games..
Is there any truth to this? This doesn’t sound like something champ would do/say or any bronco player for that matter…?
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
You are getting them mixed up with the Jets players.
Tim Lynch - January 12, 2012
for sure, that's a mess!
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Haha yeah that's def a mess..
I’ve just been seeing comments about it floating around..just wondering if something was said after the bills or kc games?
I’m sure its just some bs made up to try and stir the pot..
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Trying to stir the pot for sure
If they had said anything of the like their would have been a firestorm here at MHR
Calikula - January 12, 2012
Yeah I figured, just thought i'd ask...
i wonder why people would want to start such a hateful rumor?
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I think where it came from
Is Champ saying, after the KC loss “We can’t win in the playoffs, playing like this” (and even that is paraphrased), and jerks in the media, like you said, are just twisting the words and trying to – flip the bacon…. er… Stir the pot
PearlJamBroncoGFunk - January 12, 2012
Gotcha!
I like bacon;)
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I read a nasty comment on twitter some guy sent to mcgahee calling him out about it..
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
Really??
I’m curious about this too. For all the talk about solidarity this season, I’m really hoping that the negative talk is truly just a rumor. I don’t see Champ saying anything either; if anything, he has been such a vocal supporter all season.
Hope that someone with more info will chime in!
GirlWhoLovesFootball - January 12, 2012
I found this on nfl.coms website...
“Bailey made it clear there’s no resentment of the outrageously famous quarterback in the Broncos’ locker room. ’He’s one of our brothers, so we cheer for him,’ Bailey said. ‘We want him to get that attention. He handles it well, which makes it even easier for us to like him.’ "

aj fischer - January 12, 2012
Yeah I saw that..
supposedly something was said after KC game.. But since no one else has heard about it, it must not be true..which is good to know!
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
OMGosh, you're losing it, Tusc.
i’ll stick up for you though. champ said something after the KC game that came off as a little pointed toward tebow and/or mccoy. i can’t find it (i mean, i do have a job here, people) and don’t remember exactly what it was, but it was to the effect that we need to throw the ball better or more often or something. it was out there but it wasn’t a huge deal that some media types made it—more of the kind of pissy comments you get from players after a bad loss. so yeah, you’re not crazy. …well, i mean at least in regards to that…
oxmouth - January 12, 2012
Hey! Thanks foxy oxy ;)
Well that all makes since, I’m sure emotions were very high after that game…lol I’m kinda crazy, lol remember the pants!

cannot, will not forget the pantz. don’t wash the value out of those things!

probably much ado about nothing..
I just read some comments around the web, and wanted to see if anyone else heard anything.
No worries girlie :)
Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I do hope your no worries girlie comment is for GirlWhoLovesFootball lol
But I’m sure you’re right; media always trying to start stuff and make a story out of nothing!

Haha yeah it was, sorry about that..sometimes I can't tell who I'm replying too on my phone...
Thanks again for the link kind sir!

Anytime! :)

Well as it were, skip is back on his tirade about no one sports tebow here..
He can be so annoying , based on what he was saying today, I now know where this nonsense probably originated from..

Tuscani - January 12, 2012 via mobile
I’m still vexed as to why the Raiders fired yet another head coach. That franchise remains an embarrassment. Glad they are in our division. And good luck at the 2012 draft with your one pick in round 6.
McGeorge - January 12, 2012
I love how Hue Jackson
said he was building a bully, I didn’t know bullies choke away a chance at the playoffs when losing to a mediocre Dolts team at home
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Good always wins over Evil......Go Broncos!
Kronis - January 12, 2012
I can't refute this
GO BRONCOS!!!
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Bullies always punk out when they get punched in the mouth first
Calikula - January 12, 2012
Hue said McKenzie was going to clean house, no ones job is safe!
Maybe he plans on trading some of their “talent” for more picks?
McKenzie and Jackson were supposed to be friends, what does that say about Jackson as a coach?
CH74 - January 12, 2012
I think
in high-stakes business, friendship is often compromised
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
Silver says
It’s because Jackson saw the way Al treated Mark Davis and goes on to call Mark “Tommyboy”. That hack, Whitlock thinks it was a good move and Hue wasn’t a good coach. If Whitlock thinks it’s a good move for the Raiders, than I am all for it!
CH74 - January 12, 2012
No kidding
They finally get a chance at some solidarity and flush it down the toilet…the ghost of Al Davis is alive and well.
sadaraine - January 12, 2012
no apparition that’s lived and died would return with bowl-cut bangs though… would they?
oxmouth - January 12, 2012
I'm vexed as to who cuts Mark Davis' hair
T.Dot_Bronco - January 12, 2012
I am starting a movement
To go to Miami and lynch that smug James Walker. Your arrogance blinds you, Master Walker! I hope Kaptain Kirk has a recipe for “Humble Pie” we can send to him after the game. I have a strange feeling he is going to need it!
The Broncos certainly couldn’t beat the Squeelers and they definitely can’t beat the Patsies. It sure is good to be the underdog again! GO BRONCOS!!
CH74 - January 12, 2012
LOL
KaptainKirk - January 12, 2012
My only concern is
When McGahee fumbles AGAIN will we recover? What’s really going on with that? Is it that he’s to tired from a long season? Or is this what he does?
CenCalBronco - January 12, 2012 via mobile
he hasn't fumbled perpetually
in Baltimore to my knowledge, it was frustrating, but hopefully we don’t turn it over EVER Saturday, if so, we’ll win
the new Bradfather - January 12, 2012
This week's theme in Dove Valley:
Cover up the damn ball! Hold onto it with both hands in traffic. I’ll even say “pretty please with sugar on top” if it will help!
CH74 - January 12, 2012
I wondered the same thing
so went and took a look at his numbers. When he gets more carries he does fumble more. but honestly, for the numbers of carries four fumbles is not a lot. They just always hurt! This is the first time he has dropped four in a season since 07 He also has had his second best yds per attempt this season.

Thanks for the news gatherings Tim!
Really hilarious article on Yahoo about the newfangled Mr. Davis…. How Al would always tell him to shut the (front door) up… And one time when he was passing through a draft meeting, prior to draft time, Al asked him “Mark. So what do you think we should do?”
Mark: Um… Receiver
Al: A (front door) Receiver!! Get the (front door) outta here!
Classic. Keep tearing down that franchise and ‘building’ it back, LoL
PearlJamBroncoGFunk - January 12, 2012
i know.
i’ve always been one of those staunch ‘when the raiders are good it’s better for the AFC west’ types, but man, i’m not sure anymore. i’m not ready to get off the ride just yet.
