The Krieger DP article is very good.

If we can build on this year, we can be very competitive.

I am very excited about

This offseason and the chance to build on an amazing year. Yeh there are some things I’d like to see change but all in all its very positive. Good job Fellas on making MHR a Classy and very informative web site. Much love.

Free Agency should be a ga..ga..gasss, in fact it's a gas!
Got Stones?
Yeah! Jumpin' Jack Flash...

Raiders received permission today to interview both Broncos coordinators, DC Dennis Allen and OC Mike McCoy, for their HC vacancy.

Nooooo!

McCoy, no biggie. But I really hope We can retain Allen for at least a couple more years, and finally get some consistency at the DC position. Pleeeease Broncos head honchos?

Not a huge fan of McCoy

but I would like Tebow and the team to have some consistency this off season. Which is why I hope they both stay put.

A lot has been said about Mike McCoy's playcalling abilities and some few they have all the answers...

Sure his playcalling was suspect at times but the bottom line is that the players didn’t execute the plays when they needed to. A lot of that can be laid upon the alter of no offseason last year with the young players. Given a full offseason I expect to see a vast improvement or else…

Thanks for the Tracks Kap'n!

I sure won’t miss McCoy if he goes. Don’t get me wrong, I also won’t be disappointed if he stays, as by next season not only will Tebow be much more comfortable (he better be ;), but I imagine McCoy will in turn, be more comfortable with what Timmy and crew will be capable of.

I just think We could use a better OC, Fox and Allen = KEEPERS!
A lot of the time, it wasn’t necessarily bad play calling, but bad execution. However, some of that has to be blamed on the timing of said play calls. Understanding your offense’s strengths has to go into playcalling, and I, for one, don’t think McCoy geared his playcalling to his player’s strengths on a consistent basis. Granted, when you have a bad-a$$ like McGahee, why wouldn’t you run it all the time? LoL

I do hope he gets a HC gig elsewhere though. I appreciate all the positive he contributed to Our team, but We obviously need someone who is more willing to playcall to Our player’s strengths and not ‘work on’ their weaknesses constantly, in game-time situations. I have faith that the powers that be will make the best decision, regardless. So either way, I’ll support that decision. They definitely have a better ‘feel’ on what’s going on, and what is needed, than I. And also, either way, I am going to be freaking out about Our potential next year. Good things, man. Good things. Or should that be “great things”? I think so. =D

Th problem with losing McCoy would be if the Broncos went out of house for a new OC...

Who would come in and earnestly put forth the effort to build an offense around Tebow? Maybe Gase or Studeville would become the new OC…That would help.

It certainly could do wonders

For Our team, getting consistency at all coaching positions. I would not be opposed to keeping them for another year. Likely, if We’re as successful as I believe We’re going to be, Allen and McCoy will be getting interview offers left and right after next season too.

Well, screw you too, CBS...
And what veteran is going to come to Denver and expect to compete with Tebow? Did you even see the Broncos fans last year? They’re insane.

Lindsay Jones does a limp-wristed attempt at analysing the defense position by position...

My feeling on the defense is that you don’t neccessarily need a top 5 defense to win games and beyond, it takes a combination of all 3 phases of the team (defense, offese and special teams) to be competitive. Now if the Broncos front office want to get serious about building a stout defense off of what they’ve already done (DT Broderick Bunkley, Marcus Thomas and CB Chris Harris) then they will have to add a few pieces at key positions.

The defensive end position needs an upgrade at LDE as Robert Ayers is mainly a run-downs specialist and not much of a pass-rush player. Looking at Texans DE Mario Williams play in 2010-11 has declined in DC Wade Phillips new 3/4 scheme. Williams was a pass-rush specialist with run stopping skills prior to Phillips changing the scheme. Williams wouldn’t come cheap as he has a 16mil franchise tag laid on him, but the Texans are expected to make a decision concerning his future there. Getting him would be an immediate upgrade along the DLine that needs attention and drafting a DE in the draft won’t help as veteran leadership is needed there.

Re-sign Marcus Thomas and Broderick Bunkley that imo is a must. DT Amobi Okoye is available and the 4 year veteran is still young enough to play for years. He fits a 4/3 better than a 3/4 and would be an upgrade over Ryan McBean. Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson are unknowns at this time. Vickerson losing weight in the offseason concerned me and his production showed it before he got hurt. DT Brandon Thompson might be an option in the 1st rd or Derek Wolfe in the early 5th rd.

The cornerback position must be upgraded as we got gaffed by Brady and his receivers. Damn you Perrish Cox! The draft might be the outlet for a solid development project to learn the trade before Champ get’s too old. Safety is a must as Brian Dawkins is likely to retire. Going into the season with what we have will be disastrous. LaRon Landry won’t come cheap but having a veteran at that spot is a must ahead of Carter and Moore.

3-4 players that will cost some money but well worth it imo…

When are we ever going to get a Defensive Coordinator who is willing to stick around for more than a season?

Switching guards every year get’s frustrating, but with having defensive minded head coach John Fox around maybe the transition would be less painful…

When other teams stop throwing money

at success!!

Got that right...
