Screw continuity and promoting internally to those with marginal skill. Give me a legit talent like del rio. Great hire. Bowlen has money afterall and the means to compete.
McGeorge - January 28, 2012
Jags are still paying him.
Digger24 - January 28, 2012
I doubt it...
..it usually works more like Jags would have to pay him the difference of what the Broncos are paying him. I doubt if he would be allowed to be our DC for free….probably rules about that.
bonaire - January 28, 2012
Probably.
They are paying 5 mil this year though so no matter what we pay him it’s just taken of their bill. I say we pay him minimum and then pay him extra next year. Screw the Jagwads.

Luke Richesson also hired
Strength and Conditioning; born April 29, 1974, Kansas City, Missouri. Defensive back Kansas 1992- 96. No pro playing experience. College coach: Wyoming 1998, Arizona State 1999-2000. Pro coach: Joined Jaguars in 2009.
Like that he was an ole Wyoming Coach
When he was with the Jags – Strength coach Luke Richesson said, “If you aren’t here, you’re against us.” Looks like he will bring the “you better be here” mentality. Hopefully the Broncos do not have late season fades or excessive injuries (like several people with groin pulls during the season) now.

Love the Del Rio hire and I'm glad the FO didn't settle for less talent at DC in the name of continuity.
They are proving that they are out to build a winner and great coaches are a step in the right directions. Now lets have another great draft!
BroncoMath101 - January 28, 2012
great hire
someone with great history with Fox, and looking to take a step.back from the head coaching pressure after 8 years. He’s had top 10 defenses and hopefully he can steal some defensive FA’s from them we can use. heard something about his son being recruited by CU?

Revis and Matthews
I like them more now.
Also, the Del Rio hire seems like a great move. I would like to be a fly on th wall at the coaches meeting though because I am sure del rio has opinions on Tebow. Jax had a close relationship with UF while Tebow was there.
TheMascotArmy - January 28, 2012
So, what?
The Rams suposedly don’t know their lease says all home games must be played at The dome there?
Digger24 - January 28, 2012
I saw the tweet that Tuten was let go,
but I didn’t have time to come here and discuss it. I think that move came about 5 years too late. I’m excited for the strength and conditioning change.

Jack Del Rio a damn good hire
I’d agree that the DC position didn’t take a hit, but was actually improved.
Jack Del Rio is a warrior. Not sure about those rumors about laziness are true. He doesn’t look like he has a poor work ethic to me — he looks like he will kick your ass!
