Denver Broncos rookie linebacker Von Miller today received his second of what may be several awards this season. The Associated Press voted Miller as a second-team All Pro, Miller was most recently voted to the Pro Bowl to represent the AFC.
Miller finished the season with 11.5 sacks and also finds himself in the hunt for Defensive Rookie of the Year as well as Rookie of the Year. Miller's stiffest competition for Defensive Rookie of the Year comes from Aldon Smith from the San Francisco 49ers. Miller had 11.5 sacks, 64 tackles (50 solo) and 19 tackles for a loss with two forced fumbles. Smith had 14 sacks with 37 tackles (31 solo), two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery, along with a safety. Both were nominated for Pepsi' Rookie of the Week three times, Smith won twice.
You can vote for Miller for Pepsi Rookie of the Year right here.
Miller wasn't the only Bronco to receive All Pro votes though:

Not bad for a team that went 8-8 and won the AFC West on tie-breakers.

Bunkley got shafted. He easily had an all-pro year. The guy beat up the best centers in the league.

I think Miller had a far better year than Smith overall. Smith was very one dimensional, mostly just sacks. Miller doubled up on Smith’s tackles. It’s all that much more of a feat considering his production in the pass and run game fell off the table completely after the injury—Miller beat Smith (IMO) in 12 games vs. 16. If not for the injury, I think Miller would have beat the rookie sack record. Even with it though, I think the stats speak for themselves and he should win ROY.

Between the sacks and tackles for loss, Miller better win over Smith.
