Thanks Kaptain.

Lots of steeler links.

So we all know how lucky we were that Dawkins chose to come to Denver once Philly kicked him out right? Good luck Brian. I hope we don’t miss you as much as I think we will.

I have already bitten my fingernails down past my first knuckle...

… and there’s still 27 hours before game time.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this nervous before a playoff game. I think that in the mid-to-late ‘90s I got spoiled and even in the 2000s, playoff games were pretty common. Then we hit a dry spell and now I realize how hard it is to have sustained success. The Broncos weren’t even supposed to be here and now I want them to make the most of it.

I'm the opposite - I was almost panicking before the 96 playoffs - thinking OMG how are they going to blow it again? And lo and behold they did.

97 was strange becuase throughout the playoffs we were underdogs. However by the time we got to the SB I was in panic again – partly because I had read a great article – I think by the much missed Dr Z at SI.com explaining how Denver’s OL was going to zone block the Packers D to death. So by that point I figured we had a real shot and I was worred how we were going to blow it again..

The 98 playoffs was different again – we just looked so dominant (except for a half against the Jets) that I never worried. In fact I was guilty of been a bit blase about the whole thing – although obviously ecstatic that Elway went out with a final win.

Roll round to 2011 – because we enter these playoffs with such underdog status I’m not too nervous at this point (although ask me again at 9.30 ET tomorrow).

In a sense we have less to lose, and if we do win tomorrow it will be sweeter!

If we enter the playoffs next year as Conference seeds 1 or 2 locked up then I think I would be as nervous as you are now.

Hopefully tonights games will distract you from your fears for a bit.

Fandom eh? Who needs its emotional ups and downs? :)

I highly recommend this piece, too. By Gregg Rosenthal

http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/45895362/ns/sports-nfl/

“Can the Broncos find Tebow Time again?”

One of the few fair minded, rational pieces on what has worked and what hasn’t, and what Broncos should do on Sunday to get back to winning ways. Seems pretty fair in both critique and praise, to me.

And thanks as always for the linkage Kirk!

Rosenthal is a stud

I have tuned out the MSM again pretty much, my brethren disappoint me

Thanks!

Lots of good articles here. Here’s looking forward to a good clean game tomorrow!
