Tebow Goes Late Night

Full disclosure: NBC paid me absolutely nothing to post this. However, ask for me tomorrow around this time and I will be watching Tim Tebow on NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Tebow as many die hard fans will already know, heck even some fans of the Denver Broncos may know has so far this offseason been asked to host Saturday Night Live, to appear on Dancing with the Stars, he's even been rumored to have been asked to sit with Kate Perry in church, and lately even Kim Kardashian is rumored to be interested in Tebow's uhm services.

In the 2011 offseason Broncos fans and Tebow fans alike witnessed him release a book, a Jockey t-shirt campaign and as far as I can remember some type of energy drink where he went at some ESPN reporter and ended it all by saying that he, "'Preciates it."

That was all when Tebow was a lonely backup, imagine what fans are in for this offseason. Oh and it all starts tonight. Let's hope in between these appearances that at some point when the CBA and the NFL rules allow it John Elway can find time to work one-on-one with the third-year quarterback.

Heck, I hope Tebow finds time to work one-on-one with Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas. Maybe this time Decker can take Tebow to Minnesota to hang out with Larry Fitzgerald.

Oh, Friday Tebow will be on ESPN 2's First Take on as well, so set your DVR's now all of you that have jobs and school that day.

Sounds like he's taking Coach Fox's advice...

and letting his hair down for a bit of R&R before getting back into the regiment of hard work. Good for him.

Who is he gonna throw to the wall. Lets hope people like you who wrote this piece have something better to do then stir up stupid controversy’s.

Some Tebow fans are stupid and way to sensitive.
And some people think they are better than everyone else.

But you wouldn’t know anybody like that, now would you?

it's a true statement.

If it applies to you, to bad. If it doesn’t, good for you.

Kind of pointless.

Hes got torn cartlidge in his chest with messed up lungs. I dont know how much has healed but i doubt its fully healed.
I dont fully expect him to kust start at it with the wide recievers. Everyone needs time off.

Pointless was kinda knee jerk of me. i appologize and appreciate the work you do.
I thought Tebow was a Jockey spokesman, not Hanes
That reminds me

no free jockey T-shirt for me. Now I’ll have to buy one.

You are correct

I will send you your free subscription to MHR in the mail =)

Sweet!!!

Christmas comes early this year.

I don't think Ian

is saying that he is upset Tebow isn’t working right now. I think you guys are reading in to it to much. He’s just informing us, which I “’preciate” Ian.

Apparently he must be worried about it. Or he wouldn’t have added the stuff about throw to teammates

Thanks Digger

I have been watching Tebow games from college a lot this week. I think someone in a press box said it best when they said, “Have you ever tried to catch a knuckle ball?” In relation to Tebow’s throws.

I think with this offseason they’ll have time to get the muscle memory fully functioning and we’re in for a good 2012.

Much ado about nothing

The assumption that any time taken to do commercials (it’s FRS energy drink and Jockey underwear) takes away from his ability to practice and improve is a farce. You can only practice for so long before it becomes counterproductive due to fatigue anyway. Now if someone wants to produce an article on why Adam Gase a former WR with virtually no credibility as a QB coach is our QB guru of choice when there are so many other far more experienced options… That would be postworthy.

Who better

than a wide receiver to coach a quarterback, right? It’s not terribly out of the ordinary. Look at Josh McDaniels, he came in the NFL as a defensive backs coach…

That being said, I have no idea about Gase nor his ability to coach. McCoy however is a good coach in my opinion and a former QB.

Rick Dennison..... an OC? Whaa, whaa, what?
Great point about Gase

Dilfer was talking about this on the radio the other day. He was talking about visiting teams with QBs who needed to be developed and he would look at their Quarterback coach and basically say, WTH? I don’t know if he was promoting himself, but he has a point. How man of the QB coaches played the position or interned under someone who knew what they were doing?

Elway and Tebow will find time to work together

I don’t doubt it for a moment

My point is that Tim has over 10 years to learn QB'ing.

John Elways strong points were footwork and film study. It amasses me that he has leasrned nothing about how to improve except to lift weights. Now if it takes a coach to sit with him and go over every aspect of the position then the Broncos need to move on. Yes the good qb were trained right but I’ll bet that all of them took it up on them self to do some self improving. Geez Tim just spend time learning instead of camera hamming.

Wow

You have absolutely discounted anything anyone who has ever played with, coached, or been around more than casually says about Tim Tebow. Every single one of those people have pointed to Tim’s relentless drive for self improvement. Many have commented on Tim’s ability to understand an offense and how a defense attacks it. For Tim, the knock is mechanics and that has improved since he has become a Pro. This will be the first year of really getting to work with a real QB coach that is motivated to focus on those issues (no, I do not consider Joshy’s brother a competent QB coach).

Maybe you better go back and take a look at some early Elway film. His footwork was pretty awful, but he lived off his cannon arm (often making throws that are considered taboo for most QBs – occasionally with disastrous results too). John absolutely had the drive to improve himself and get his rings. However, it did not happen over night! Early Elway had some pretty glaring holes in his game too (even after 10+ years of work as a QB – and yes it is just a stupid to say it about John as it is to say it about Tim). John covered his early flaws with raw athleticism and determination.

Still Tebowing....

Daniel Sedin (Canucks) after his OT winner last night.

Is Jimmy Fallon a good host?

I’ve never watched the show except for that clip but he seems pretty lame, talentless and or very inexperienced.

I was not impressed with him on SNL or in his ‘movies’.
