I'd rather have Weeden than Manning

Even if Manning could play for 3 more years. Weeden could play for a decade and Denver could pick him up after the 3rd round.

only Favre played that long and don’t forget the only reason he’s playing football is because he blew his shoulder out pitching so it’s not like he’s coming in as a fresh young rookie either.

Don't worry, Manning is not coming to Denver

He may not be going to any other team in 2012 either. I heard he has been cleared because his neck has healed up, which is good for him. But the nerve that runs to his triceps hasn’t fully regenerated and that is why he can’t put a zip on his throws. He can’t do it now, which means he won’t be able to do it in time for FA.

There is a very serious possibility that Manning may have to wait out the 2012 season before he can throw a football with enough velocity to be effective again.

Thanks Kirk. So 2014 is the year of the horse… That is exactly why this season, the year of the Dragon, will be Our first SB victory. Then We win two more in a row, having Our third consecutive SB win occur in the year of the horse. How’s that for optimism?

First of all, Why would Manning even want to come here?

Let’s see, a conservative run first offense with super creative Mike McCoy play calling (sarcasm). If I am Manning I don’t want to come to an offense like this.

I can’t even see this as a realistic possibility. If however it did happen I would hope that we trade Tebow out of respect for him. If we aren’t willing to commit to him then let the guy go be successful somewhere else.

It makes me sick that these kinds of stories will continue to dominate the headlines until well into the next season most likely.

and wouldn’t waste a lot of calories on this. It’s not happening for many reasons. Starting with the fact that Elway wants to build this team from the draft and will only obtain FAs at good value.

The playoffs despite a QB who can’t consistently hit a 5yd slant or anyother pass from game to game, play to play, but his NFL option offense is totally uncreative.

If we make a move to bring in Manning, I will lose any faith that this front office knows what it's doing.

The guy is on the downside of his career if he can even play again at all. You give up NOTHING to get a guy with health issues as serious as a busted neck. One play and he could be done for good. And give up Tebow for a 2nd and a 5th? Yeah right. Tack a first onto that and call me back. The guy has tons of potential and puts asses in seats. A second and a fifth is insulting.

only proves he has a bigger voice thanyou or me. Not that what he says means any moreabout what EFX is really going to do than some of the carp you or I say here. I mean if I say Elway was at Baylor watching RG3 no one cares. If Todd Mcshay says it or this reporter for 9News then it must be true. Give me a break. Stories and lies to try to get attention.

I would rather go and blow our stash on a FA RB than Manning. Getting a 36 year old QB with a serious neck injury does nothing for this team when there are holes everywhere else, like S, CB, RB, DT, slot WR, etc.

Elway has said he wants to build through the draft, and being aggressive and smart in Free Agency. Spending alot of money on Manning isn’t “Smart”

Yesterday, on ESPN radio, Xanders said that the Broncos will address the QB spot via Free Agency and the Draft, which makes me think we’ll sign a veteran to backup Tebow, and then draft a guy later and let him compete with Weber.

Plus Miami and Washington will outbid us haha
